A triumphant post-Sandy lunch return!
Even though Caterina’s kitchen was flooded, she still managed to bring a little lunch today:
- A dried sausage sandwich (this stuff is a life saver)
- Part of an apple (this seems really sad post-storm, but she often brings part of a piece of fruit…it’s okay)
- A whole pear (but no knife!)
- Jelly rings (found in some cabinet or floating by on the street outside—not a winner)
- Pasta and broccoli with chicken cutlet?
- Ricky’s sandwich crusts, sandwich, and G-Fuel (I can’t explain it)
- Doritos (not sure whose those were)
I’m making a commitment to being more observant during lunch. I took this picture and now I have no idea what any of this was.
- Chicken cutlet and mushrooms
- Brussels sprouts (the team was divided about this—some thought brussels sprouts are gross, but it was ultimately decided that they’re better than cactus pears)
- Italian bread
A Caterina’s Lunch Extra…Snack Edition…
- Cheezits and wasabi peas (this combination is patent pending by yours truly—look for the Cheezsabi mix soon in a bodega near you!!!!)
- Red wine
- A delicious-looking homemade sandwich with ham, provola, and shiitake mushrooms
- Half a piece of carrot pound cake (store bought and not so good—didn’t even finish it)
- Yogurt
- Pear
- Brown knife!
